Abstract
This work tries to see a narrative Čovjek s broja tri by Muhamed Kondžić in the context of the poetics of witnessing. Key concepts that are promoted in poetics of witnessing are witness, memory, trauma, and all can be identified in the narrative Čovjek s broja tri by Kondžić. Also, this narrative pictures a place of an ordinary man in war showing his weakness and inability to stop atrocities. Powerless witness has only one moral duty: to give testimony and save his memories in a text which functions as a testimony in postmodern culture.
