Abstract

The article The Semantics of Political Terms deals with a segment of lexicon which names the political notions and the ranges they refer to. The accent is put on the extralingual correlates in the forming of the terms and semantic changes connected with the social connotations. It is shown that political terms are not only names of social phenomena but, with their structure, they reflect the contents of notion as well.
